The Alamo. The Alamo is located in the beautiful San Antonio. This destination is for history buffs looking for a little education during their vacation. The Alamo is probably the first thing people think of when they think of Texas. It was originally build to be Spanish mission and now it is known for one of the most famous battles in America's history.
The Riverwalk. While in San Antonio make sure you check out the Riverwalk. This is San Antonio's most famous shopping and dining destination and it is located along the beautiful banks of the winding San Antonio River (hence the name). This destination is a must see during any Texas vacation!
The Johnson Space Center. "Houston we have a problem." Those famous words were uttered by Tom Hanks in Apollo 13. Where was he calling? The Johnson Space Center of course. This center was made famous in the 1960's during the space race. This is where astronauts and space shuttles call home. This would make a great family vacation stop especially if you have a little aspiring astronaut on board!
Sixth Street. For the younger (or young at heart) that are looking for the best party destination, Austin's 6th street is the place to be! Located in college town, 6th street in Austin is a string of hip bars filled with college students and very inexpensive drinks. This is the perfect destination if you are looking to live it up on your Texas vacation. Spring break anyone?
